Four stand-off legs keep things steady while maintaining a small footprint. The aluminum upright pivots up and down and is secured with a thumb screw to keep it locked in place in either position. Free spinning bearings rest inside the JConcepts hub design, and interchangeable thumb nuts for 1/10th and 1/8th wheels are located on the main axle.
